Monster MX is a Welsh based Junior Motocross Team built around 15 year old Tom Johnson. Tom has been competing in British motocross for the past 10 years, initially on KTM 50 cc and 65cc bikes before moving up to a Honda CR 85cc after turning 11. After a mediocre 2005 season racing the Honda Tom decided to revert back to KTM and hasn't looked back since - he is now fully committed to the KTM brand and won't consider any other make.

After a year off the bike due to knee ligament injury at the beginning of 2008 Tom is looking forward to getting stuck in to the 2009 season.
 

This year Tom will be concentrating on the highly competitive Silkolene British 2 stroke championship and the Cotswold club championship as well as competing in selected youth national events.
Having tested a 250cc 4 stroke Tom was adamant that he wanted to stay on 2 strokes for at least one more year so it seemed obvious to compete against similar machines, even though it is an adult championship, not a youth championship.
Tom has been preparing well for the 2009 season with visits to the gym twice a week and training hard. The major disadvantage he faces is lack of riding time - due to Dad's work commitments and preparing for GCSE's Tom is only able to ride on weekends.
